Wei Chen
Wei Chen grew up in NYC and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, majoring in Computer Science.
Originally aiming to become an orthodontist, he eventually discovered his passion for programming and all things technological.
While at Duke, he worked part-time at Duke's Office of Information Technology (OIT), helping to resolve various computer issues that Duke students may encounter. Additionally, he developed a "scheduling program" to facilitate the assignment
of employee timeslots and enable employees to log their hours efficiently.
Since graduating in 2015, Wei has been working at Cisco. In the early stages of his career at Cisco, he volunteered to teach an Intro to Python Programming course for young cadets at the CivilAir Patrol. Based on his experiences, Wei strongly believes that more young individuals should be exposed to the world of programming at an early age, enabling them to enhance theirknowledge in the subject as they progress through life.
