The Champion Education is the area's Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award. The President's Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer award program, encouraging a life of service through presidential recognition. Recognizing and honoring volunteers sets a standard for service, encourages a sustained commitment to civic participation and inspires other to make service a central part of their lives. 

Criteria for recognition are:

• Recipients must be United States citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States.
• Awards are issued for hours served within a 12-month time period (2023-2024 Award Year: Volunteer service hours must be completed between September 1st, 2023 • August 31st, 2024)

●​  ​Requirements

• Be able to work with children of all ages, as well as maintain awareness of their safety at all times
• Communicate clearly with Champion staffs and campers' parents
• Receive and follow instructions from Champion staffs
• Work up to 20 hours weekly 
• Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills (Responsibility, Patience, Understanding, and Disciplined).

NOTE

• All candidates will be notified by May 30th of the status of their application.​
• Successful applicants must take the training workshop on June.
