A pathway for qualified middle school artists to begin selected high school art credit courses early, strengthen technical skills, and build a stronger portfolio over time.
Champion Academy and Champion Art School offer selected high school art credit opportunities for qualified middle school artists. Students with a strong art foundation and demonstrated readiness may be eligible to begin advanced study earlier, creating greater flexibility for future coursework, portfolio development, competitions, and long-term academic planning.
High School Art Credit Opportunities for Ready Middle School Artists
Students with strong drawing and painting skills, artistic maturity, and demonstrated readiness may be considered for selected credit-bearing art courses.

Portfolio Review
For selected credit courses, a portfolio review of approximately 1–5 images may be recommended to help determine readiness and appropriate placement.
How Credit Courses Work
- Students do not need to enroll full-time at Champion Academy to take individual art credit courses.
- Students attend scheduled studio classes and complete required assignments and projects.
- Some courses include additional studio work, independent practice, or portfolio development outside class.
- Credits and grades are recorded through Champion Academy.
