Class Description:
Elementary Writing Workshop helps young writers move beyond simple sentences into well-organized paragraphs and short compositions. Students explore narrative, opinion, and informational writing through fun prompts and structured practice. Clear feedback and revision help them build confidence and a stronger writing voice.
About the Instructor:
Ms. Miriam is an English educator with strong training from UC Berkeley and NC State University. She has extensive experience supporting K– 8 students in reading fluency, comprehension, and literacy development through individualized instruction. As a director and mentor in Berkeley’s BUILD program, she has coached mentors, designed literacy lessons, and worked directly with young readers to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence. Miriam brings patience, clarity, and a student-centered approach to every class she teaches.
