Class Description:
Pre-Algebra + Problem Solving helps students bridge the gap between elementary math and formal algebra. The course reviews and extends operations with fractions, decimals, ratios, and integers, while introducing variables and simple equations. Strong emphasis is placed on word problems and logical reasoning to build a solid foundation for Algebra I.
About the Instructor:
Mr. Fevzi has over 17 years of experience teaching mathematics, from middle school through AP Calculus as well as SAT and ACT preparation. He has coached students for competitions including AMC, MathCounts, and Math Kangaroo, helping them develop strong problem-solving skills and confidence. In addition to math, he teaches Python and Java programming and also works as a software developer. Fluent in six languages, he brings a broad, global perspective that makes learning clear, engaging, and accessible.
