REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
SCHOOL NOTIFICATIONS
Parents will receive important school and class updates through email and WeChat, etc.
Notifications may include:
WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY
Withdrawal Notice
At lease one week written notice is required for early withdrawal from an ongoing program.
If proper notice is not provided, tuition already paid is generally non-refundable. When applicable, an account credit may be issued at Champion Art’s discretion.
Class Cancellation by Champion Art
Champion Art reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, or other circumstances.
Classes with fewer than 4 students may be canceled.
Families will normally be notified 2–5 business days before the scheduled start date.
If Champion Art cancels a class, any tuition paid for the canceled class will be fully refunded or credited to the student’s account.
Student Withdrawal Refunds
Before the class begins:
A full tuition refund may be issued. For credit card payments, a 3% processing fee will be deducted.
Within 7 days after the class begins:
Up to 50% of the tuition may be refunded. A 3% processing fee will be deducted for credit card payments.
After 3 months:
No refund will be issued for the current semester.
For year-long programs, the unused portion of a future semester may be refunded on a prorated basis when applicable and after all withdrawal requirements have been met.
MAKE-UP & CLASS CREDIT POLICY
Make-up options vary by program. All make-up classes are subject to instructor availability, class capacity, and advance approval.
1. Kids Art 2, Kids Art 3 & Teen Art
The following classes may be eligible for make-up classes:
Whenever possible, the make-up class should be completed with the same instructor during one of that instructor’s available class times.
Make-up classes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
A maximum of one credit may be issued per quarter, and unused make-up opportunities or credits do not automatically carry over to a future quarter.
2. Kids Art 1
Due to scheduling limitations, Kids Art 1 does not offer make-up classes.
For missed classes, one class credit may be issued per term. This credit is non-refundable and must be used within the same term; it cannot be transferred to another quarter.
3. High School Art ClassesAll High School Art programs follow a separate make-up policy.
This applies to both credit-bearing and non-credit high school art classes.
High School Art programs already include additional weekly studio time so students have opportunities to complete missed assignments, projects, and portfolio work.
Current studio time includes:
Students who miss a class should coordinate with their instructor and use the available studio time to complete missed assignments, projects, or portfolio work.
Missed work should be completed within the current quarter or within the timeframe established by the instructor.
Unused studio time or missed-class opportunities do not carry over to a future terms.
INCLEMENT WEATHER & SCHOOL CLOSINGS
If Champion Art cancels classes because of severe weather or other unexpected circumstances, families will be notified by email, phone, and/or WeChat.
When a school-wide class is canceled by Champion Art and a make-up class cannot be provided, an appropriate class credit may be applied to the student’s account.
This policy does not apply to individual student absences.
PRO-RATED TUITION & ROLLING ADMISSION
Trial Classes
Champion Art offers paid trial classes for first-time students.
Trial class fees may vary depending on the class length, program, and materials. Students may register through our official Trial Class registration page:

Special Trial Offer:
If a student enrolls in a Champion Art program after the trial class, 100% of the trial class fee will be refunded or applied toward the student’s program tuition.
This allows families to experience the class before making a full enrollment commitment.
Rolling Admission
Students may enroll after a session or quarter has already begun when space is available.
Tuition will be prorated when applicable.
Annual Enrollment
Students enrolling in an annual program after the school year has begun will have their tuition adjusted based on the remaining enrollment period and applicable annual-plan pricing.
ONE-YEAR ENROLLMENT BENEFITSStudents enrolled in an eligible one-year program may receive:
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
All students are expected to help maintain a respectful, safe, and professional studio environment.
Students should:
After two formal warnings, Champion Art reserves the right to suspend or revoke independent studio access.
PHOTO, VIDEO & VOICE RELEASE
Champion Art may photograph, film, or record students during classes, exhibitions, events, and other school activities.
Images, artwork, video, or recordings may be used for educational and promotional purposes, including:
- Online registration is required to secure a student’s enrollment at the beginning of the school year or session.
- Late enrollment may be completed:
- In person at Champion Art
- By phone at 919-388-1739, Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Payment is required at the time of registration to complete enrollment.
- Incomplete registration forms or unsuccessful payments may delay enrollment confirmation.
- Credit or debit card
- Check or cash when online payment is unavailable
- Additional processing fees may apply where applicable.
- A 3% processing fee may apply to returned or failed credit card payments.

- Honors Studio Art: 3 additional studio hours per week
- Portfolio Intensive: 3 additional studio hours per week
- Senior Portfolio Thesis: 3 additional studio hours per week

STUDIO ETIQUETTE
All students are expected to help maintain a respectful, safe, and professional studio environment.
Students should:
- Respect instructors, classmates, artwork, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain an appropriate working environment for both instruction and independent studio work.
- Follow instructor directions and studio safety rules.
- Clean their workspace before leaving.
- Return materials and equipment to the proper location.
- Use art supplies responsibly and avoid unnecessary waste.
- Keep food and drinks outside designated studio areas unless otherwise permitted.
